Heritage Toyota Donates $115,000 to Nonprofits this Holiday Season
Heritage Toyota Catonsville
Heritage Toyota Catonsville was honored to support the Salvation Army and their Angel Tree program by donating $10,000 for toys, books, clothes and much more so every child would be able to wake up on Christmas morning with gifts under the tree! Staff members also volunteered their time to provide hands-on help at the Salvation Army warehouse, collecting items off each child’s wish list and packaging the gifts for parents to pick up before the holiday.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for thousands of children around the country each year and we’re so glad to be part of the cause that brings so much joy to so many families for the 7th year in a row. Heritage Toyota Harrisburg
During the store’s first ever “Day of Giving” on December 20th, Heritage Toyota Harrisburg donated over $95,000 to seven area nonprofits. This “Day of Giving” celebrated and commemorated Heritage Toyota Harrisburg’s commitment to the community and those who serve it. The seven nonprofits included the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Orange 4 Owen, Harrisburg Firefighters' Special Operations Fund, Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, YWCA of Greater Harrisburg and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania.
Each organization received a generous donation to support the critical work they do along with the resources they provide the community – everything from adaptive car seats for special needs children and equipment needed for swift water rescues to meals and transportation for those in need. We can’t wait to continue this holiday season “Day of Giving” tradition for many years to come!
Heritage Toyota Owings Mills
Heritage Toyota Owings Mills supported the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program by donating $10,000 that went directly towards their efforts to help local families and their children receive gifts on Christmas. This will be the 2nd year in a row we have contributed and participated in this amazing program and we couldn’t be more proud.
The objectives of the foundation are to help less fortunate children experience the joy of Christmas, to play an active role in the development of our community's most valuable resources – our children, to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign and to contribute to improving communities in the future. Through the gift of a new toy, we can help bring the joy of Christmas to all and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children.
