See How Toyota Leads the Way in Manufacturing High-Quality Automobiles
There’s a reason that Toyota automobiles are some of the most reliable, high-quality vehicles made. Toyota takes special care when it comes to the design, engineering, and manufacturing of its models, utilizing high-quality factories in the United States. Toyota also seeks to revolutionize the way factory work is perceived, using higher standards of working conditions and reduced environmental impact. The brand stops at nothing to ensure that its vehicles are top notch. By choosing to manufacturer many models in the United States, Toyota keeps costs down without having to sacrifice great features, safety, or performance.
Toyota in the United States
Toyota may have its roots in Japan, but the automaker produces vehicles all around the world, including ten plants right here in the United States. Over the past few decades, Toyota has invested billions of dollars in American manufacturing, which means your favorite Toyota models may be made right here in the United States. The Avalon, Camry, Highlander, Sequoia, Sienna, Corolla, Tacoma, and Tundra are all built on American soil, and Toyota also builds its reliable engines in West Virginia and Alabama.
Every part and every vehicle that rolls off the line reflects our commitment to safety, quality, value and, above all, our passion for exceeding customer expectations. Our ongoing success is due to the hard work and dedication of team members at our 14 manufacturing plants in North America.

Protecting Our Environment
The manufacturing industry has gained a reputation for being environmentally detrimental work, and for good reason. Toyota is looking to change that and create assembly plants with drastically diminished carbon footprints. Toyota has teamed up with Mazda to build a new plant in Huntsville, Alabama, and though the plant won’t be completed until 2021, the automakers are already taking steps to minimize the plant's impact on the environment.
Together with the help of the Center for Biological Diversity and Tennessee Riverkeeper, two local ecological conservation groups, Toyota has committed to protecting the spring pygmy sunfish, since its habitat is near the plant. To protect the species, Toyota has agreed not only to protect the species' habitat, but to also restore and improve that habitat, ensuring that it won’t be negatively impacted by the plant’s construction and operation.
In addition to the numerous models with gas-sipping and hybrid powertrains available from Toyota, the brand also focuses on producing those models using sustainable materials and reduced waste. Toyota’s Mississippi assembly plant reduced water consumption by 32% over the last two years. Garment clippings like denim are used for sound deadening and insulation in many models, and the construction process has reduced raw materials used in vehicle production, like PVC.
The team here at Heritage Toyota Catonsville, Harrisburg & Owings Mills is just as dedicated to helping you find the Toyota that fits your needs, as the automaker's design, engineering, and manufacturing teams are to creating some of the highest quality vehicles available.
